The situation in this country

Slovenia was among the first member states with an adopted implementing act. The ZIUDHPUI, adopted by parliament on 23 October 2025 and published in the Official Gazette (Uradni list No. 85/2025) on 6 November 2025, has applied since 21 November 2025. AKOS is the single point of contact and regulatory sandbox coordinator and one of five market surveillance authorities, alongside the Information Commissioner, the Bank of Slovenia, the insurance supervisor and the market inspectorate. The act sets out competent authorities, procedures, infringements and fines. Several notifying authorities are designated depending on the AI system type.
