The situation in this country

Sweden has no final implementing act yet. Inquiry report SOU 2025:101 (6 October 2025) proposes PTS as the lead market surveillance authority and coordinator, with entry into force targeted for 2 August 2026, but the bill is still in the consultation and drafting phase. Pending legislation, on 12 June 2026 the government tasked PTS, IMY, Finansinspektionen, the Medical Products Agency and Swedac to act as competent authorities until 31 December 2026, with PTS as the common contact point. No AI Act fines or investigations are known.
