The legal path

Source ·: Article 58 on EUR-Lex
Condition ·: Applies as soon as you decide to enter an AI regulatory sandbox as a provider or prospective provider, possibly in partnership with a deployer or another third party.
Exception ·: Article 58(2), point (d), requires the implementing acts to ensure access free of charge for SMEs and start-ups, subject to exceptional costs that the authority may recover in a fair and proportionate manner. The Regulation does not extend that free access to larger undertakings. Check with the authority concerned which cost regime it applies for as long as the implementing acts have not been adopted.
